Raen reporting!

It's been a.... well, ridiculously long time since Pepperacrylics has had any activity on me and Aiko's parts. 7 months without a word! T__T I feel bad now...

But we hope to post some updates very soon! Cosplay season has been on standby for a while now, since the weather here is ghastly-hot. D8 Hot weather = no photo opportunities, because the moment you step outside, you bake and sweat and... it's just not pretty. XD And just about every cosplay Aiko and I own are not cool, airy costumes. On the upside though, the long summer has given us time to plot for our newest projects, and now that cosplay season is almost here again, you can expect photos, hopefully, soon. ;D

Until then, though, we have to finish our cosplays. X___X Our main projects right now are Cross Marian and the Grave of Maria from D.Gray-Man. We're both making them ourselves, and the experience has been... well, for Aiko, it's been relatively smooth sailing, but he's just sorta amazing like that. D8 And for me... it's had its ups and downs, since I've honestly never sewn anything more than a halter top... XD But I'm working through it! We really hope to make some more progress, and maybe we'll be able to post some progress pictures when we get them to a spot that allows for decent-looking photos. >__>

But for now, it's work time... and only two more months to finish everything. X__X

It's been forever since we've updated our journal! So sorry about that - not that anyone really cares if we update our journal or not - right?

As you may or may not have noticed, we've been submitting a lot of new photos lately! Which I'm really glad with how most of them came out, and we just keep taking new ones! I don't know if we'll take any tomorrow, but you never know, we just might. I know there will be new photos after Saturday though and we'll finally have a location change! I will be glad to get some more photos of my Light cosplay because, well, I only have two. And you've all seen ~KaiyaLolipop's Misa cosplay, and if you haven't, you should! Go look her gallery!

Speaking of Saturday... this Saturday is a local matsuri (festival) and there's food, fun, and, more food! We're going to see ~MelodiousK, ~angelinoshi, ~KaiyaLolipop, ~Toiea, ~OrangeTablet, and maybe ~Vitasoy, and I know more people have said they are going, but I am totally spacing out! But, I will see you all there!

In other news, we'll be having new cosplays soon! Our next cosplays are:
Kaien and Kuukaku Shiba from Bleach. I think this duo is pretty fitting as seeing they are brother and sister, and so are we! They both have dark hair, and so do we! (Of course, we'll wear wigs though! xD) And also, our heights match the characters too, so maybe we'll be the real-life Kaien and Kuukaku? OH LAWD, WHO KNOWS. ~Raenstrife needs to get going on her Kuukaku outfit me thinks. I just have to do little things for my cosplay, and she has to make a whole outfit. (Well, I guess Nejibana isn't exactly little, but we'll say it is for the sake of argument! )

Another one of our upcoming cosplays is:
Urahara Kisuke and Yoruichi Shihoin from Bleach. I have the fabric for my Urahara cosplay, and I'm planning on starting on it tomorrow! I am looking forward to making the pants for some strange reason.
We'll have ~Vitasoy as our Soi Fong when we wear these cosplays, just because she loves her Yoruichi-Sama!

And I know you guys totally think we are fixated on Bleach, but I promise we aren't! *hides gallery from view* We do have some cosplays coming up that actually aren't Bleach and I can prove it too!

~KaiyaLolipop and I are planning on cosplaying as Yuki Cross and Zero Kiryuu from Vampire Knight - that certainly isn't Bleach! I'm looking to get the wig for it when I order my Kaien wig. _{I will be able to use the wig for a Gin cosplay too. *IS BRICK'D*}

Now to come up with a cosplay ~Raenstrife is going to do that is not Bleach... Uh, I'm thinking!

I'll get back to you on that.

~Raenstrife reporting!

I'm really, really happy to say that the new cosplay season is almost here! The weather in our neck of the woods is finally cooling off, which means you can expect a whole lot more updates more often. Unless (and this has been known to happen) the weather heats up again. Then it could be a while before our next updates. X___x

We just had our most recent photo shoot today, so that means you can expect some new photos up shortly. ;D We've been doing some experimenting with our photos by using new elements. Haaaa, to say the least, some work better than others. We've discovered mimicking rain is a lot harder than you'd think. O__o A hose and a couple of half-wits... mix those two and you got Raen and Aiko being sprayed in the face with water and photos that do NOT look like they were taken during a rain storm. o__o

On a serious note, we are still in the progress of finishing our bigger cosplays. With any luck, we'll get some of those big cosplays finished soon and take pictures of those as well.

So in the meantime, hang tight! We'll definitely have some new pictures up within the next few days!

Sorry for spamming everyone's inboxes with our photographs; when you go so many cool photographs in a row like that it cannot be helped!

Also, general updates of our upcoming cosplays...

I (~Khokolotte) have received my Light wig in the mail, but sadly, it is two shades too light for Light _{(confusing sentence is confusing)}. So, I am going to try custom dying a wig! 8D I've never done it before, so it'll be interesting...But, I am sure I can do it because I don't think it will be too hard. I thought cutting a wig would be hard, but geez, that's like one of the easiest things to do! I also need to cut this one part on the bangs -- speaking of cutting xD -- and I of course will need to restyle it after it's all dyed!

~Raenstrife got her Ulquiorra wig not too long ago as well; some styling needs to be done to it though if I recall correctly! But, it's easy styling to be done! _{(It's nothing like dying a wig...)}

And I am waiting the arrivial of a Grimmjow wig in the mail. It should either come tomorrow or the next day, but who knows! I hope it comes soon though! I am so excited to get it!

Enough talk about wigs, it's time to talk about... dun dun dun!

Props!

I got the materials for my Light scythe, but I need to cut some of the branches off and then I need to peel the bark off. (Sounds like a Christmas tree or something, but it's not!) I then will need to cut out the blade then attach it ... and paper mache and god know what else! Oh yeah, I remember, I have to paint it!

And other than that, I can't think of any other progress. Maybe there is more, we all know how horrible my memory is. I know I forgetting something now!

I bet ~Raenstrife could think of something to say!
